This is the devils movie
I bought it for 6 bucks at Big-W.
It took me 6 weeks to watch the damn thing,
and here are 6 reasons why it sucked my will to live:
1) The characters are all so unappealing that it just didn't matter what happened to them.
2) I know it's meant to be from a book, but the story is soooooo 2D that you could've fast forwarded through with your eyes closed and still known the plot.
3) Apparently there is a stella cast. I guess that's very subjective but I DON'T THINK SO TIM!
4) There's a sheer desperation in this film to be postmodern. Fred Savage is cute but he doesn't need to be in bloody everything.
5) The only thing that would've been super cool the modern day characters were somehow related to the fairytale ones. But they weren't.
6) The giant wasn't giant enough. I know he was a real person but he looked like a normal person in a land full of dwarves.
So IF anyone does actually like this movie, please let me know why (GOD?! WHY???!!)

dear, like, my comment,
OMG! How do you NOT LOVE this film?
I think the problem is ...you....
It's such a childhood film! It's a film you have to watch in your childhood and love, and then watch it 10 years later and still love.
It's such a sweet and cute little story! It's so fantastical! It's, it's indescribable why i love it so much!
Did you know that when I was younger I would watch this film so often that it annoyed my brother so much that he taped over it to spite me!
So when I saw it for 10 bucks a few years ago, I grabbed it and ran to the checkouts.
...and in your vain, here are 10 reasons to LOVE this film:
1. "As you wish"...as he rolls down a hill.
2. The poison in the cup scene.
3. "I am Inigo Montoya, you killed my father, prepare to die!"
4. The cute cut-backs to , YES, Fred Savage and cute old grandfather.
5. Cary Elwes...oh how i loved him so...
6. It's a great fantasy adventure....who doesn't love these?
7. The satire of the genre with the cut-backs to Fred Savage and his grandfather.
8. (Tagline) Heroes. Giants. Villains. Wizards. True Love. - Not just your basic, average, everyday, ordinary, run-of-the-mill, ho-hum fairy tale.
9. Billy Crystal is in it....Billy Crystal!
10. Everything!
As much as I hate to admit it, Betty and Veronica's right.
Fantastic movie.
Mandy Patinkin is terrific, not to mention the rest of the cast.
I think Britney might have a phobia about Fred Savage. What was her opinion of the 'Wonder Years'.
