Dads MUST Earn More Money

So today I was going to my friend’s house and I thought that I would be like a normal non famous person and catch public transport. I was at the subway and I was by myself for a while which was totally cool. But then this family – a dad and his two young daughters – came which was cool too. Then they sat next to me which was okay cool. But then the older girl, who was like 10, went and sat on the edge of the platform! That was not cool! The train wasn’t coming and the dad wasn’t making much of an effort to get her up so she just sat there for like ages like that.
All of a sudden I hear this cry, I look over and she’s gotten up and limped back towards us. She was missing a shoe.
So there’s a bit of a domestic between the family next to me and I’m like OMG! But I couldn’t move away because it’s rude you know? Then all three of them leave their stuff (they completely trust me by now) and move over to where the shoe was dropped. Then they all peer over the edge but they couldn’t see where it was. By this time the train from the other direction was pulling into the station.
Like, straight after the trains is out of sight the father LOWERS THE YOUNGER DAUGHTER ONTO THE TRACKS TO GET THE SHOE! But everyone knows that when one train leaves it means that the other one is coming and the little girl who is like 4 years old is taking forever to find the shoe. All the while I’m fully having a heart attack…
She finds the shoe and she’s really angry that she’s just been made to do that which is like, totally understandable and they come back and all have a seat next to me again.

Oh sorry, have I been saying shoe? I meant FLIP-FLOP!!!!!!!!!!! So this little girl was made to go get ONE $4 flip-flop off the train tracks. All I can say is that for once I’m really glad that the trains were late.
So for God sake earn more money so your children can have back up shoes.
